the challenge

The night before the challenge our guides will provide a full briefing on what to expect. They’ll walk you through the journey, offer advice on what to pack and discuss the weather conditions you’re likely to face over the next 24 hours. You will also receive an information pack once you've booked to help with you prepare and we will have discussed your aims and goals, whether you want to go all out for the 24 hr attempt or are looking to complete the challenge in your own time.

The challenge begins in the Scottish Highlands with Ben Nevis, the tallest peak in the UK. As the highest and longest climb of the challenge, it’s a tough but rewarding ascent, leading you to an impressive summit with far reaching views (weather permitting). At this point you and your team will be the highest group of people in the whole of the British Isles! With the first mountain conquered, it’s time to descend back to base and meet up with the transport.

From here you’ll head south to the Lake District where Scafell Pike awaits. At least one of the mountains will be climbed in the dark and it’s usually this one! adding an extra challenge to the experience. Using headtorches you’ll experience a more intense and atmospheric side of the mountains. Our guides will be there to keep everyone on track and moving at a decent and steady pace. Although this climb is shorter, it’s steep and rocky making it a tough but rewarding ascent. Reaching the summit marks the halfway point of your journey giving you a real confidence boost as you continue towards the final peak.

The final climb takes you to Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), the highest peak in Wales & England. By now you'll have tired legs but also a strong sense of determination! you’ll take on the last ascent and with a hint of summit fever taking over and you'll be pushed on to complete this final and demanding climb! Taking place during dawn you will be fully embraced by classic Welsh sunrise over the rest of Eryri!

Completing all three peaks in 24 hours is not an easy task but it’s an incredible achievement. Once you reach the finish, you can celebrate, knowing you’ve taken on one of the UK’s toughest and most rewarding mountain challenges.
